EDUCATION CONFERENCE SCHEDULE

9:00 am - 10:00 am: How AI is Transforming the Apartment Industry, presented by Virginia Love, Entrata

Join Virginia and explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the game in multifamily housing. She'll break down what AI does and clear up any confusion about its capabilities. Discover how AI can make property management more efficient, helping with everything from maintenance scheduling to setting the right rent prices.

She'll also talk about what AI isn't. It's not a magic fix for all problems, and it works best when combined with human judgment and oversight. Virginia shows some everyday ways AI can be used in multifamily settings, like predicting when maintenance is needed, personalizing experiences for residents, or leveraging data for predictive performance. See how it can boost productivity for teams and make living in a complex more enjoyable for residents. By the end of the session, attendees will have a better understanding of how AI can transform property management while being mindful of potential risks.

David Barhydt

11:30 am - 12:25 pm: Legal Updates with Jessica Ryan (Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit) and David Barhydt (Law Offices of David Barhydt).

You won't want to miss spending 55 minutes with two of the premier attorneys in the Chicagoland multifamily housing industry. Sneak peak of some topics that will be addressed:

-Tenant Credit Reports

-Landlord Retaliation Act

-Status of Rental Assistance Programs

-Changes to using the Sheriff's Department of service in action actions

2:00 pm - 2:55 pm: Social Media and the Gen Z Way with Virginia Love

They say: If you are quiet, sit tight, and pay close attention, you can hear the pitter-patter of Generation Z coming at multifamily like a tsunami. With ages ranging from 12 to 27, this generation is the biggest, boldest, and most wonderfully diverse bunch the US has ever seen. They've never known a world without technology (they are the same age as Google) and social media practically flows in their veins. This incredible bunch of community-focused individuals aren't just residents but are also the next generation of apartment industry professionals. But here's the twist: they've got some nifty behaviors up their sleeves when it comes to using social media platforms and technology, and it's not your grandma's Facebook! "Key takeaways from this session are:

  • Real-time surveys including the most recent Satisfacts Renters Preference Survey
  • User-generated stats from over 900K student beds on Entrata
  • Find out how these young guns navigate digital marketing sources/social media while shopping
  • Discover the secret sauce for crafting a company culture and marketing messages
  • Generate content that Gen Z will trust and adore

Sessions are only available to those who register for the full conference option.  Sessions are 55 minutes and each one counts as 1 continuing education credit towards National Apartment Association (NAA) designations.
